Saturday
Saturday was pretty tiring. We finished the rest of the qualifiers and finished with Team 935 standing in 5th place. Because of that, we were able to choose our alliance members - Team 1997 Stag Robotics (we made an alliance with them a couple years ago, too!) and Team 525 The Swart-Dogs. They were awesome alliance members and equally awesome cheer partners.

We made it through quarter finals but dropped out during semi's. These match videos will be available or linked to in the coming weeks. Although we did not necessarily WIN KC, we did win the Motorola Quality award and the Autodesk Animation award.

Thank you to all the volunteers, parents, and mentors for Kansas City. It was a wonderful trip and the team loved it!

Don't forget! Team 935 will also be in Dallas in ten days or so!

Qualifier Day
Oh my goodness. Today felt amazing!

I know I've been around FIRST for a little while, but I will never get used to HOW AMAZING COMPETITION IS!

Get up ridiculously early: Check.
Annoy Team-mates by waking them at five: CHECK!
Eat free hotel food: Yum.
Start cheering outside of doors: Check.
START HUGGING PEOPLE WHILE HOLDING "FREE HUG" SIGNS: Check
Compete: Check.
Fix random robot malfunctions: Check. . .
Compete Well: Check.
Panic: Double check.

Have Fun: Oh, yes. Check!

At the end of today, we were ranked 15, but still have three matches remainaing when most teams only have one or two. Also, the remaining qualifier match times today are 9:42, 10:24, and 11:12. In case the competitions runs a little behind, the match numbers are 57, 64, and 72.

Like I said - amazing. We did a lot of scouting, too. Tonight will be going over notes. Again and again and again. . .

I may have forgotten something mildly important. Okay. Really important.
WE WON AUTODESK ANIMATION AWARD. For the record, we did a jig.

Then again, we did a jig for every team that won an award today.
Congradulations to every winning teams and good luck with the rest of the competition!

Also, don't forget! Those not able to attend the competition can view a streaming video at more.net

Thursday's Gone!
Yesterday was practice rounds and I'm sure each robot, including our own, found quirks that made the team moan and groan. However, team 935 expects a rapid increase in robot functioning throughout today. Addionally, an animation crew member went and rated other animations for the contest. As a whole, we're excited!

I woke up and five and started waking up team mates around ten 'till six. I'm unappreciated at the moment. . . tongue

Anyway, today will be the majority of qualification rounds! Hopefully the worst problems have been worked out for most of the teams? Also, the chairman's award interview is scheduled for sometime today.

Good luck to all teams in every aspect!
See you later!
